0fc8177414 Further improve button.el support for help-echo 
The last change to forward-button added support for help-echo values
that are functions.  This patch fixes the arguments passed to such
functions and further adds support for help-echo values that are
forms (bug#37515).
* doc/lispref/display.texi (Button Properties): Fix description of
help-echo button property.
* lisp/button.el (button--help-echo): New function.
(forward-button): Use it.
(backward-button): Clarify help-echo reference in docstring.

bc511a64f6 Prefer HTTPS to FTP and HTTP in documentation 
Most of this change is to boilerplate commentary such as license URLs.
This change was prompted by ftp://ftp.gnu.org's going-away party,
planned for November.  Change these FTP URLs to https://ftp.gnu.org
instead.  Make similar changes for URLs to other organizations moving
away from FTP.  Also, change HTTP to HTTPS for URLs to gnu.org and
fsf.org when this works, as this will further help defend against
man-in-the-middle attacks (for this part I omitted the MS-DOS and
MS-Windows sources and the test tarballs to keep the workload down).
HTTPS is not fully working to lists.gnu.org so I left those URLs alone
for now.

f7c4bad17d Ensure button-get works in any buffer 
* lisp/button.el (button-get): Previously we assumed that button-get
  was called in the buffer containing the button.  In other buffers,
  button-get always returned nil.  Fix this by passing the relevant
  buffer from the marker.

(make-text-button): Fix the return value when `beg' was a string.
(push-button): Handle the mode-line case.

9a69676ae6 Updates to Display chapter of Lisp manual. 
* doc/lispref/display.texi (Fringes): Note that fringes are shown on graphical
displays only.
(Fringe Size/Pos, Fringe Bitmaps, Making Buttons): Clarifications.
(Replacing Specs): Clarify example.
(Manipulating Buttons): Note that button-at can return a marker.
(Buttons): Minor rewrite.
(Character Display): New node.  Consolidate all character display
related nodes into its subsections.
(Usual Display): Character 127 is also affected by ctl-arrow.
(Display Tables): Improve example.

* lisp/button.el (button-at): Minor addition to docstring.
