* INSTALL, INSTALL.REPO, admin/make-tarball.txt: Mention ‘make check’. * configure.ac: Update comment. * etc/NEWS: Say that tarballs have a test directory. * make-dist (with_tests): Default to "yes". Add an option --no-tests to make it "no".
This directory contains the architecture-independent files used by or with Emacs. This includes some text files of documentation for GNU Emacs or of interest to Emacs users, and the file of dumped docstrings for Emacs functions and variables.
