Hey, 2.6! You don't have to be 2.6 anymore!
Do NOT use portupgrade(1) to update your GNOME 2.6 desktop to 2.8:
it won't work, and you'll have to recompile bunches of ports by hand
as a result. Use the gnome_upgrade.sh script to automate the upgrade
process. The script is available from
http://www.FreeBSD.org/gnome/gnome_upgrade.sh
