without X11 support, it may pick dbus up as a dependency and fail
to link with the proper threading libraries.

emacs-devel ports. My own time is now limited due to personal
reasons. Since Ashish has agreed to take over the maintainership
of the ports from me, change MAINTAINER= for the following ports:
editors/emacs22
editors/emacs
editors/emacs-devel
Many thanks to Ashish for taking over...
PR/137956 by Ashish SHUKLA (thanks!). [1]
Those ports which define EMACS_PORT_NAME to be "emacs21" were
not touched (this time). They may be converted to the new
world order by removing the above mentioned assignment.
Four ports were marked as BROKEN with EMACS_PORT_NAME=emacs23
(they do not compile):
. lang/bigloo;
. mail/wanderlust;
. mail/wanderlust-devel;
. www/emacs-w3m.
Three ports were marked as IGNORE with EMACS_PORT_NAME=emacs23:
. japanese/egg-canna (the port version is dated as of 2001,
does not compile with Emacs 23 and seems it cannot be fixed);
. deskutils/remember.el (was incorporated into Emacs 23);
. editors/nxml (was incorporated into Emacs 23).
Changes that were made after (and as a result of) exp run. For
those ports:
. japanese/migemo-emacs21;
. japanese/migemo-emacs22
EMACS_PORT_NAME?= was changed to EMACS_PORT_NAME= to the apropriate
emacs port name.

since the commit broke dependencies and the ports infrastructure
was not fully prepared (a new emacs/editors22 port is needed
for compatibility reasons);

Specifically, newer autoconf (> 2.13) has different semantic of the
configure target. In short, one should use --build=CONFIGURE_TARGET
instead of CONFIGURE_TARGET directly. Otherwise, you will get a warning
and the old semantic may be removed in later autoconf releases.
To workaround this issue, many ports hack the CONFIGURE_TARGET variable
so that it contains the ``--build='' prefix.
To solve this issue, under the fact that some ports still have
configure script generated by the old autoconf, we use runtime detection
in the do-configure target so that the proper argument can be used.
Changes to Mk/*:
- Add runtime detection magic in bsd.port.mk
- Remove CONFIGURE_TARGET hack in various bsd.*.mk
- USE_GNOME=gnometarget is now an no-op
Changes to individual ports, other than removing the CONFIGURE_TARGET hack:
= pkg-plist changed (due to the ugly CONFIGURE_TARGET prefix in * executables)
- comms/gnuradio
- science/abinit
- science/elmer-fem
- science/elmer-matc
- science/elmer-meshgen2d
- science/elmerfront
- science/elmerpost
= use x86_64 as ARCH
- devel/g-wrap
= other changes
- print/magicfilter
GNU_CONFIGURE -> HAS_CONFIGURE since it's not generated by autoconf
