437ec95cc2 Snapshot of daemontools 0.53; without repo-copy, since the history is 
safe in the daemontools directory.  This is just a snapshot, this port
should not be updated to new versions.  This is made necessary due to
non-backwards-compatible changes to daemontools, and large use of
this particular version.

fcb33b1536 Fix the sample configuration file so that syslog-ng behaves more like 
FreeBSD's syslogd. syslogd logs the specified level and greater; currently
syslog-ng only logs at the level specified.

152cd3d823 Update to 1.6. Set this port BROKEN on 4.0+; I confirmed that bento is 
correct in that sys/rlist.h is not on 4.0+. If some kind soul would like
to fix this, that'd be nice. This update also fixes CFLAGS ignorance.

f3aec7e67f Fix build problem (read-only ${PORTSDIR}) by adding 
MAKE_ENV=MAKEOBJDIRPREFIX=${WRKDIR} and a pre-build target to do a
"make obj".  That obsoletes the pre-clean target since the generated
files all go into ${WRKDIR} and there's nothing to clean on the source
directory.

Also, fix several minor bogons.  NO_CHECKSUM is a user variable, and
never should be set in a port Makefile.  NO_WRKSUBDIR is not necessary
because WRKSRC is set explicitly.  I don't know what the empty
do-fetch is doing there.

05c69e1751 Xbattbar shows the current (laptop) battery status in the X window 
environment. The battery indicator of this program is very simple: a simple
bar in the bottom of your display. With its color, it indicates the
AC-line status (plugged in or off-line), and buttery
charging/remaining level.

They realy do NOT want libgif, and do NOT use libgif anywhere.

84c2baf4ad Drop privileges before executing user commands. 
Chase the checksum and remove (temporarily) the second MASTER_SITE. The
distfile from the second site (which has the old md5 sum) has no content
differences but it's 9 bytes longer.

61d7daff10 cronolog is a simple program that reads log messages from its input 
and writes them to a set of output files, the names of which are
constructed using template and the current date and time.  The
template uses the same format specifiers as the Unix date command
(which are the same as the standard C strftime library function).

Sarah is a program which is used to trim, rotate, archive and delete log
files.  It is meant to run periodically out of cron, determining what to do
based on a configuration file.

Sarah is designd to be an optional replacment for newsyslog, depending
on your needs.

c9474df488 Upgrade to mkisofs included in cdrecord-1.8a38. 
From AN-1.8a38:

- Fixed a seriuos bug related to the structures iso_path_table and
  iso_directory_record.

  Both structures have an odd length and some compilers (e.g. on
  Sun3/mc68020 systems) will padd these structures to an even size.
  For this reason it was a bad idea to use sizeof(iso_path_table)
  of sizeof(iso_directory_record) for on disk size computations.

  The changes affect central functionality and it is needed to do
  testing if my changes will not introduce a new bug.

4d8e69bf0e Fix a security hole where a user can obtain kmem group privs. Note 
patch-ad and patch-ae both patches the same file, so I combined them
and removed patch-ae.  The maintainer might want to look into patch-ad
some more since patch-ae did the same as patch-ad one one had the lines
before the offending block of code and one after.  I left both sets
since it didn't appear to affect operation any.

23661182f3 lavaps -- a lava lamp of currently running processes 
Instead of presenting lots of specific info on running processes
in digital form, lavaps tries to present certain important information
in graphical analog form. The idea is that you can run it in the background
and get a rough idea of what's happening to your system without devoting
much concentration to the task.

Kudos to the author for providing a mostly-complete freebsd
port for his software!
