df765a4bd6 Hey guys, thanks for the number of comments on my install-info inquiry 
(which was about equal to number of FreeBSD installations on Hale Bopp

0ff9951fd1 Delete PATCH_STRIP so this port compiles. This one is a huge mystery 
to me.

(1) I have no idea how this port worked for anyone.

(2) I have no idea why this variable was here to begin with.

02d7461162 Fix several bogons. This port still doesn't compile, though. The build 
target does nothing (if I go into work/ and type "make all" it doesn't
do anything, either).

(1) BUILD_DEPENDS is not supposed to be a single program name; it's a
    program name:directory pair.  Please check other ports or the
    handbook.

(2) Use NO_WRKSUBDIR.

(3) /usr/local/interviews/bin/FREEBSD is not in everyone's path, so
    specify XMKMF with full pathname.

a6df390f90 (1) Change comment for USE_X11 to be more explicit about what it 
means.

(2) Change MASTER_SITE_GNU etc. to use += instead of ?=, so users can
    specify a local mirror in /etc/make.conf and still get the full
    fallback in case something is missing.

(3) Skip port if USE_X11 or USE_IMAKE is defined and /usr/X11R6
    doesn't exist.

(4) Add "-" in front of rmdir of ${DISTDIR}/${DIST_SUBDIR} in
    distclean target; the directory might not be empty because the
    subdir is shared with some other ports' distfiles.

e9e119f88b Add "database" to the categories list. Personally, I don't think anyone 
would think if looking for it there... but I have been quite wrong before.
But then I also don't think this and all the TeX stuff belong in "print"
either.  They are wordprocessing tools.  But I guess we really don't
have that categrory, with editors being the closest.  But then TeX
is probably the farthest port we have to actually being an editor.

Maybe "lang"???  It is a translstor afterall.  :-)

358c5baa72 echoping is a damn useful tool for checking reachability other than 
via icmp status, eg: tcp or udp.  It speaks http as well, so it can
"ping" a http server or a http proxy cache to make sure it's operating
and not wedged.  (Nearly all of our system lockups are not detected
by icmp pings)
