Alpine has more features, much better localization, better organized
(and largely rewritten) code, is BSD licensed, and should be a drop-in
replacement in terms of configuration files.
Alpine version 1.00 was released on March 17, 2008 after over a year of
development and community testing, and has since had 2 releases for
bugfixes and new features, so it's safe to say that this is a mature
replacement.
- Remove graphics/openproducer, graphics/openthreads - those are now included in osg
- Remove obsolete bsd.osg.mk from graphics/osg
- Mark graphics/demeter BROKEN if it's being build WITH_OSG, as it won't compile now

Those games contain resources that are non-free and, in some cases,
ripped from other games and still copyrighted. We have to remove

The legoctl library has been updated to support Vex robot
controllers as well as the Lego NXT. This new version also
has many enhancements to the NXT interface, and a command-line
utility for remote controlling NXT robots from FreeBSD via
a PC gamepad over bluetooth.

(2) Make binding ports to be real ports, which installs only bindings and
depend on subversion.
(3) Rename bindings ports to reflect perl5/python/ruby modules naming scheme.
(4) Re-base subversion-freebsd to `devel/subversion'.
(5) Fix all ports, which depends on subversion bindings.
The port is deprecated since it is not supported by the FreeBSD
Security Officer anymore. The reason for this is that the ca-roots
port makes promises with regard to CA verification which the current
Security Officer (and deputy) do not want to make.
For people who need a general root certificate list see the
security/ca_root_ns, but note that the difference in guarantees with
regard to which CAs are included in ca_root_ns vs. ca-roots. The
ca_root_ns port basically makes no guarantees other than that the
certificates comes from the Mozilla project.
Note that the ca-roots MOVED file entry on purpose does not point at
ca_root_ns due to the change in CA guarantees.
