e9dec7758d popen(): Add 'e' mode character to set close-on-exec on the new fd.
If 'e' is used, the kernel must support the recently added pipe2() system
call.

The use of pipe2() with O_CLOEXEC also fixes race conditions between
concurrent popen() calls from different threads, even if the close-on-exec
flag on the fd of the returned FILE is later cleared (because popen() closes
all file descriptors from earlier popen() calls in the child process).
Therefore, this approach should be used in all cases when pipe2() can be
assumed present.

The old version of popen() rejects "re" and "we" but treats "r+e" like "r+".

a420df3c8a Use an ugly hack to get around bootstrapping problems when building
clang on head between r239347 and r245428.

The former revision introduced CLOCK_PROCESS_CPUTIME_ID as a clock id
for the clock_gettime() function and friends, but it was only added in
<sys/time.h>, not in <time.h>. Any program including <time.h> would
therefore not be able to use CLOCK_PROCESS_CPUTIME_ID, even though the
value of _POSIX_CPUTIME indicates its existence. The latter revision
synchronized the defines again.

Work around this problem by defining the id on the command line for the
particular .cpp file that needs it. If the id ever changes value, this
hack will need to be updated.

958aa57537 Similar to 233760 and 236717, export some more useful info about the
kernel-based POSIX semaphore descriptors to userland via procstat(1) and
fstat(1):
- Change sem file descriptors to track the pathname they are associated
with and add a ksem_info() method to copy the path out to a
  caller-supplied buffer.
- Use the fo_stat() method of shared memory objects and ksem_info() to
export the path, mode, and value of a semaphore via struct kinfo_file.
- Add a struct semstat to the libprocstat(3) interface along with a
procstat_get_sem_info() to export the mode and value of a semaphore.
- Teach fstat about semaphores and to display their path, mode, and value.

dc570d5e56 Add pipe2() system call.
The pipe2() function is similar to pipe() but allows setting FD_CLOEXEC and
O_NONBLOCK (on both sides) as part of the function.

If p points to two writable ints, pipe2(p, 0) is equivalent to pipe(p).

If the pointer is not valid, behaviour differs: pipe2() writes into the
array from the kernel like socketpair() does, while pipe() writes into the
array from an architecture-specific assembler wrapper.

da7d2afb6d Add accept4() system call.
The accept4() function, compared to accept(), allows setting the new file
descriptor atomically close-on-exec and explicitly controlling the
non-blocking status on the new socket. (Note that the latter point means
that accept() is not equivalent to any form of accept4().)

The linuxulator's accept4 implementation leaves a race window where the new
file descriptor is not close-on-exec because it calls sys_accept(). This
implementation leaves no such race window (by using falloc() flags). The
linuxulator could be fixed and simplified by using the new code.

Like accept(), accept4() is async-signal-safe, a cancellation point and
permitted in capability mode.

0315980bb8 Unbreak <stdatomic.h> on ARM + Clang.
Clang only supports atomic operations for ARMv6. For non-ARMv6, we still
need to emit these functions.

Clang's prototype for these functions slightly differs, as it is truly
based on GCC's documentation. It requires the use of signed types, but
also requires varargs. Still, we are not allowed to simply implement
this function directly. Cleverly work around this by implementing it
under a different name and using __strong_reference().

70d41b5846 wordexp(): Remove wrong IFS usage.
Words in shell script are separated by spaces or tabs independent of the
value of IFS. The value of IFS is only relevant for the result of
substitutions. Therefore, there should be a space between 'wordexp' and the
words to be expanded, not an IFS character.

Paranoia might dictate that the shell ignore IFS from the environment (even
though our sh currently uses it), so do not depend on it in the new test
case.

7e4de3c228 Compile contrib/tzcode/stdtime/localtime.c with -fwrapv, since it relies
on signed integer overflow wrapping. Otherwise mktime(3) and timegm(3)
can hang, in case the timestamp passed in struct tm is not representable
in a time_t. Specifically, any timestamp after 2038-01-19 03:14:07, in
combination with a 32-bit time_t.

Note that it would be better to change the code to not rely on undefined
behaviour, but it is contributed code, and it is not entirely trivial to
fix the issue properly.

c2e3c52e0d Implement SOCK_CLOEXEC, SOCK_NONBLOCK and MSG_CMSG_CLOEXEC.
This change allows creating file descriptors with close-on-exec set in some
situations. SOCK_CLOEXEC and SOCK_NONBLOCK can be OR'ed in socket() and
socketpair()'s type parameter, and MSG_CMSG_CLOEXEC to recvmsg() makes file
descriptors (SCM_RIGHTS) atomically close-on-exec.

The numerical values for SOCK_CLOEXEC and SOCK_NONBLOCK are as in NetBSD.
MSG_CMSG_CLOEXEC is the first free bit for MSG_*.

The SOCK_* flags are not passed to MAC because this may cause incorrect
failures and can be done later via fcntl() anyway. On the other hand, audit
is expected to cope with the new flags.

For MSG_CMSG_CLOEXEC, unp_externalize() is extended to take a flags
argument.

The "-M" option is no longer supported by 'bhyveload' and 'bhyve'.

special circumstances via the 'vm_set_lowmem_limit()' API provided by

2609222ab4 Merge Capsicum overhaul:
- Capability is no longer separate descriptor type. Now every descriptor
has set of its own capability rights.

- The cap_new(2) system call is left, but it is no longer documented and
should not be used in new code.

- The new syscall cap_rights_limit(2) should be used instead of
cap_new(2), which limits capability rights of the given descriptor
  without creating a new one.

- The cap_getrights(2) syscall is renamed to cap_rights_get(2).

- If CAP_IOCTL capability right is present we can further reduce allowed
ioctls list with the new cap_ioctls_limit(2) syscall. List of allowed
ioctls can be retrived with cap_ioctls_get(2) syscall.

- If CAP_FCNTL capability right is present we can further reduce fcntls
that can be used with the new cap_fcntls_limit(2) syscall and retrive
  them with cap_fcntls_get(2).

- To support ioctl and fcntl white-listing the filedesc structure was
  heavly modified.

- The audit subsystem, kdump and procstat tools were updated to
  recognize new syscalls.

- Capability rights were revised and eventhough I tried hard to provide
backward API and ABI compatibility there are some incompatible changes
that are described in detail below:

	CAP_CREATE old behaviour:
	- Allow for openat(2)+O_CREAT.
	- Allow for linkat(2).
	- Allow for symlinkat(2).
	CAP_CREATE new behaviour:
	- Allow for openat(2)+O_CREAT.

	Added CAP_LINKAT:
	- Allow for linkat(2). ABI: Reuses CAP_RMDIR bit.
	- Allow to be target for renameat(2).

	Added CAP_SYMLINKAT:
	- Allow for symlinkat(2).

	Removed CAP_DELETE. Old behaviour:
	- Allow for unlinkat(2) when removing non-directory object.
	- Allow to be source for renameat(2).

	Removed CAP_RMDIR. Old behaviour:
	- Allow for unlinkat(2) when removing directory.

	Added CAP_RENAMEAT:
	- Required for source directory for the renameat(2) syscall.

Added CAP_UNLINKAT (effectively it replaces CAP_DELETE and CAP_RMDIR):
	- Allow for unlinkat(2) on any object.
	- Required if target of renameat(2) exists and will be removed by this
	  call.

	Removed CAP_MAPEXEC.

	CAP_MMAP old behaviour:
	- Allow for mmap(2) with any combination of PROT_NONE, PROT_READ and
	  PROT_WRITE.
	CAP_MMAP new behaviour:
	- Allow for mmap(2)+PROT_NONE.

	Added CAP_MMAP_R:
	- Allow for mmap(PROT_READ).
	Added CAP_MMAP_W:
	- Allow for mmap(PROT_WRITE).
	Added CAP_MMAP_X:
	- Allow for mmap(PROT_EXEC).
	Added CAP_MMAP_RW:
	- Allow for mmap(PROT_READ | PROT_WRITE).
	Added CAP_MMAP_RX:

	Renamed CAP_MKDIR to CAP_MKDIRAT.
	Renamed CAP_MKFIFO to CAP_MKFIFOAT.
	Renamed CAP_MKNODE to CAP_MKNODEAT.

	CAP_READ old behaviour:
	- Allow pread(2).
	- Disallow read(2), readv(2) (if there is no CAP_SEEK).
	CAP_READ new behaviour:
	- Allow read(2), readv(2).
	- Disallow pread(2) (CAP_SEEK was also required).

	CAP_WRITE old behaviour:
	- Allow pwrite(2).
	- Disallow write(2), writev(2) (if there is no CAP_SEEK).
	CAP_WRITE new behaviour:
	- Allow write(2), writev(2).
	- Disallow pwrite(2) (CAP_SEEK was also required).

b27ca6313e When clang builds libc it may insert calls to __aeabi_* functions. Normally
this is not a problem as they are resolved by libgcc. The exception is for
the __aeabi_mem* functions. These call back into libc to the appropriate
function. This causes issues for static binaries as we only link against
libc once so there is no way for it to call into libgcc and back.

The fix for this is to include these symbols in libc but keep them hidden
so binaries use the libgcc version.

485b3300cc Implement guest vcpu pinning using 'pthread_setaffinity_np(3)'.
Prior to this change pinning was implemented via an ioctl (VM_SET_PINNING)
that called 'sched_bind()' on behalf of the user thread.

The ULE implementation of 'sched_bind()' bumps up 'td_pinned' which in turn
runs afoul of the assertion '(td_pinned == 0)' in userret().

Using the cpuset affinity to implement pinning of the vcpu threads works with
both 4BSD and ULE schedulers and has the happy side-effect of getting rid
of a bunch of code in vmm.ko.

df5d2454a3 Pull in r170135 from upstream clang trunk:
Dont use/link ARCMT, StaticAnalyzer and Rewriter to clang when the user
specifies not to. Dont build ASTMatchers with Rewriter disabled and
  StaticAnalyzer when it's disabled.

Without all those three, the clang binary shrinks (x86_64) from ~36MB
  to ~32MB (unstripped).

To disable these clang components, and get a smaller clang binary built
and installed, set WITHOUT_CLANG_FULL in src.conf(5). During the
initial stages of buildworld, those extra components are already
disabled automatically, to save some build time.

646b68f04d - Remove underscores from the internal structure name, as it doesn't collide
with the user's namespace.

- Correct size and position variables type from long to size_t.

- Do not set errno to ENOMEM on malloc failure, as malloc already does so.

- Implement the concept of "buffer data length", which mandates what SEEK_END
refers to and the allowed extent for a read.

- Use NULL as read-callback if the buffer is opened in write-only mode.
Conversely, use NULL as write-callback when opened in read-only mode.

- Implement the handling of the ``b'' character in the mode argument. A binary
buffer differs from a text buffer (default mode if ``b'' is omitted) in that
NULL bytes are never appended to writes and that the "buffer data length"
equals to the size of the buffer.

- Remove shall from the man page. Use indicative instead. Also, specify that
the ``b'' flag does not conform with POSIX but is supported by glibc.

- Update the regression test so that the ``b'' functionality and the "buffer
  data length" concepts are tested.

- Minor style(9) corrections.

various classes and functions when libstdc++ is used as a filter.

Note: This changes the ABI for libcxxrt, but libcxxrt is currently only in
-STABLE for testing and is not used by anything unless explicitly enabled by
the end user. No default compiler configurations use it.

libc++ will need to be recompiled after this change. make buildworld will do
this automatically, but make in lib/libc++ will not necessarily work unless the
new libcxxrt is installed first.
