Tassilo Horn writes: here's the promised refactoring of org-gnus.el: - Rename org-usenet-links-prefer-google to org-gnus-prefer-web-links - Make that option work for gmane - Only make weblinks if the article is in a newsgroup - Only make weblinks if the article has no X-No-Archive header There is little drawback: - Gnus stored some headers in an array and makes them instantly available. Unfortunately that doesn't apply to X-No-Archive, so I have to select and widen the article buffer and parse anew.

Doc fixes by Philip Rooke <phil@yax.org.uk> A number of small changes. Mainly they are to pacify 'checkdoc-ispell' (if it seems appropriate) and to standardise the names of the packages you can link to from within Org-mode. I am using the package names as spelt or abbreviated in their own documentation (if I have been able to find it easily). Thus, for example, prefer MH-E over MHE, Rmail over RMAIL etc.

ol-gnus: Prefer nnselect to nnir if available * lisp/ol-gnus.el (org-gnus-store-link): Use nnselect when available. In the master branch of the Emacs repository, f103e89c1d (Add aliases for recent Gnus nnselect changes, 2020-09-07) switched org-gnus-store-link over to using nnselect, but that can't be ported as is because it isn't backward compatible. Make a similar change that includes compatibility kludges.

Moved most of the linking code to separate files. This files are stil all loaded automatically, but the user can turn individual files off. Also, this makes maintaining the link stuff easier, because everything related to a specific link type is in one place.
