Sentry is part of the Abacus Project suite of security tools.
It is a program designed to detect and respond to port scans
against a target host in real-time. There are other port scan
detectors that peform similar detection of scans,but the Sentry
has some unique features that may make it worth looking into.

XWPL is an X based tool to examine one-dimensional real-valued signals using
wavelets and wavelet packets. It has been designed to be as easy to use as
possible for beginners. It is intended more as an educational and exploratory
tool than as a numerical analysis program, even though it uses fast, optimized
wavelet and wavelet packet transforms.

STLport is an an adaptation of SGI's Standard Template Library.
The goal of the STLport effort is to make SGI's STL
implementation usable with most compilers while retaining full
functionality.
The Standard Template Library is a C++ library of container
classes, algorithms, and iterators providing many of the basic
algorithms and data structures of computer science.
